Weekly Writing Prompt #8
Today is Harmony Day. A day to celebrate Australian multiculturalism. Harmony Day is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background. Our cultural diversity is one of our greatest strengths and is at the heart of who we are. It makes Australia a great place to live.
Held every year on 21 March. The Day coincides with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. I feel like harmony day rolls off the tongue a little easier though.
In keeping with the theme of harmony, inclusiveness and bringing people together, this week's prompt will hopefully take you down that path.
